Step-by-step guide to submit your sitemap to Google Search Console for a Blogger site and verify your URLs:

Step 1: Find Your Sitemap

Default Blogger Sitemap:

By default, your Blogger sitemap can be found at:

https://yourblog. blogspot. com/sitemap. xml

Custom Domain (if applicable):

If you are using a custom domain (e. g. , https://yourblog. com), the sitemap URL will be:

https://yourblog. com/sitemap. xml

Step 2: Access Google Search Console

Navigate to Google Search Console.

Choose your website property from the dashboard.

If your site is not listed, click Add Property and verify ownership of your blog (e. g. , via HTML tag or domain DNS).

Step 3: Submit Your Sitemap

In the Search Console Dashboard, go to the Sitemaps section in the left-hand menu.

In the Add a New Sitemap field, input the sitemap URL:

For instance, sitemap. xml (Google will automatically add it to your site URL).

Press Submit.

Step 4: Confirm URLs in the Sitemap

After submission, click on the submitted sitemap to view the details.

Examine the Discovered URLs count to find out how many URLs Google located in your sitemap.

Look for any alerts or issues, like broken links or URLs marked as redirects.

Step 5: Test Individual URLs

Utilize the URL Inspection Tool in Search Console to test specific pages from your sitemap:

Insert the URL into the inspection bar and press Enter.

Check the status (e. g. , "URL is on Google," "Redirect error," or "Excluded").

If the page is valid, click Request Indexing to ensure it is crawled.

Step 6: Monitor Sitemap Status

Frequently review the Sitemaps section in Google Search Console to make sure all URLs are being crawled and indexed accurately.

Resolve any issues reported, such as redirects or blocked pages.

Additional Tips

Ensure Sitemap Accuracy:

Employ a sitemap validator tool to verify that your sitemap includes valid and working URLs.

Open the sitemap link in your browser and confirm that the pages listed in it load correctly.

Update Your Sitemap:

Blogger automatically refreshes the sitemap with new posts. However, if you delete or modify posts, verify that outdated URLs are removed.

By adhering to these steps, you will guarantee that your sitemap is accurately submitted and that Google can effectively crawl and index your pages.
